Achtcijfers is an independent company, not affiliated with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KVK), and does not provide extracts from the Business Register.

The register says who a company is. We show what it does and uses, with the KVK number as the key. Want to be sure a company is in the register, or need an extract? Then go to the Business Register.

Companies, not people

We show information about companies, not profiles of people. For sole proprietorships and general partnerships (vof), information about the company is also information about a person. We treat it as personal data.

What we don't know about a company shows as unknown. In the API that is null, never a zero.

How a website is linked to a number

Achtcijfers turns on one link: which website belongs to which KVK number. Only then do the webshop and the technology belong to the right company.

We measure the precision of that link weekly.

What you don't use it for

  • No credit assessment.
  • No legal identity check.
  • No decision about a person without a human involved.
